New AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program Helps Customers Find Solution Providers Certified by Barracuda

Campbell, Calif. (July 8, 2015) – Barracuda Networks, Inc. (NYSE: CUDA) -

Press Release Highlights:

  • Barracuda provides advanced support to customers with Barracuda solutions deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) through participation in the new AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program.
  • Understanding that customers typically look to deploy multi-tiered solutions, Barracuda now provides easier access to solution providers capable of optimizing a customer’s Barracuda deployments on AWS.
  • Announcement builds on Barracuda’s recently enhanced partner program and enables Barracuda resellers to add more value as customers leverage the AWS Cloud.

Barracuda announced today its participation in the new AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program to provide advanced support to customers with Barracuda solutions deployed on AWS. Building on the recently updated Barracuda Partner Program, Barracuda resellers will now be able to provide additional value to customers wanting to deploy Barracuda products on their AWS environments.

“We are committed to our channel partner network and programs, and have been looking at ways to align them better with our efforts in AWS Marketplace,” said Nicole Napiltonia, VP Strategic Alliances, Barracuda. “The new AWS Consulting Partner Program fills a void we’ve been hearing about from our customer base. We are excited to join the program and believe it enhances the customer experience with Barracuda products listed in AWS Marketplace.”

The new AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program enables customers to discover solution providers certified by Barracuda, one of the first Marketplace vendors to join the AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program, and a current Advanced Technology Partner in the AWS Partner Network. With the AWS Marketplace Consulting Program, customers are able to filter solution providers based on vendor and country, and contact solution providers using the available contact information in AWS Marketplace. This makes it easier for AWS Marketplace customers to get help optimizing the configuration of their Barracuda deployments on AWS.

Barracuda customers who want to take advantage of cloud offerings look to solution providers to assist in the transition. In turn, those solution providers need to feel comfortable with the cloud architecture and the technology underpinning them. The AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program streamlines this process for both customers and their trusted solution provider advisors.

“With software deployments moving from on-premises data centers to the cloud, naturally we wanted to explore different ways to support cloud customers,” said Mike Thompson, President and CEO, Groupware, an AWS Partner Network (APN) Consulting Partner. “First, we needed access to existing cloud customers and we also needed to decide which cloud services provider we should invest our time. Barracuda’s support for the AWS program and ready access to existing Barracuda customers on AWS is the perfect combination and motivated us to further build our AWS offerings, knowing we’d be supported through Barracuda and AWS Marketplace.”

“AWS Marketplace is designed to help customers more easily discover and more quickly deploy the product solutions that offer the best fit for their unique project workloads,” said Dave McCann, Vice President, AWS Marketplace, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “We are pleased that Barracuda is bringing their expansive partner base into the AWS Marketplace Consulting Partner Program. Buyers of Barracuda in AWS Marketplace can more easily find qualified Barracuda partners at the time of purchase to help optimize their experience. This new approach further makes the shift to cloud easier for buyers and for consulting services companies.”
