New Barracuda SSL VPN 880 Designed for Medium to Large Enterprises With No Per User or Spike Licensing Fees. Aug. 4, 2010 – Barracuda Networks Inc. today launched the Barracuda SSL VPN 880 for secure remote access for medium to large organizations. Unlike competing solutions that require customers to either maintain additional unused licenses or purchase spike licenses for unplanned events – such as blizzards, pandemics, or other occurrences that may force more users to access to the SSL VPN – the Barracuda SSL VPN 880 can support up to 1,000 concurrent users with no per user fees. “On the average day, most organizations have a modest number of users that require access to the SSL VPN and therefore most available solutions have a built-in capacity that is suitable to handle only that expected average workload,” said Stephen Pao, vice president of product management for Barracuda Networks. “We are truly outpacing the competition with the Barracuda SSL VPN 880 in that it is the only true SSL VPN solution available that is designed to handle a large number of concurrent users without any per user fees or spike licensing options, which saves customers money over the long term.” |
